May 2022

by in Newsletter
In this edition of our newsletter, we highlight Lewis F. Moulton’s Arrival Day, Mother’s Day, and National Preservation Month. Please enjoy our recent event photos and stay tuned to our Summer 2022 opening!
Jared Mathis received a Lewis F. Moulton Arrival Day proclamation from the city of Laguna Hills. We honor the pioneer spirit of Lewis who arrived in Orange County on May 6, 1874 at midnight. This year, we are commemorating his journey with a featured film at our inaugural exhibit, 1874: Into the West.

We are excited to announce the current production of our film written by Scott T. Barnes and directed by Jon “Jags” Nee. It includes original scores and animation.

We honor our Moulton matriarch this Mother’s Day. Learn more about our history from this OC Register article.

Happy Preservation Month! It’s been an entire year since the site opened to the public. We have digitally captured the exhibit showcasing Lewis Moulton’s office. View the site on our webpage which contains archival materials and a brand new Matterport tour.

Moulton Museum hosted the Orange County Docent League at Aliso Viejo Ranch on April 11, 2022. Scott T. Barnes signed his books for guests and Jennifer Keil presented the history of the site and museum.
