January 2022

by in Newsletter

What an incredible year we all had celebrating the opening of Aliso Viejo Ranch, Laguna Playhouse’s 100th anniversary, Bunkhouse BBQ with California Rangeland Trust, OC Parks, and the retrospective exhibit of Nellie at LCAD Gallery during the college’s 60th anniversary. We appreciate you and our partners. Thank you!

Wishing you all a great start to 2022! We’ve been in construction from 2021-22 preparing our museum for the community. We are looking forward to sharing some exciting announcements with you this year!

Every start of the year, the Rose Parade is held in Pasadena. This tradition is part of the Moulton Ranch history. Charlotte and Louise are sitting in a wicker buggy with “Dickie” in front of the Daguerre’s home circa 1920 (2017.05.300).
According to Louise’s oral history, “When I was around five years old and my sister Charlotte was nine or ten, my father bought us a beautiful sorrel pony, complete with a wicker-seated pony cart from the parade entries at the historic Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.”
