Welcome to the Bunkhouse
Have you heard? On August 25, 2021, Moulton Museum successfully hosted its First Annual Bunkhouse BBQ at Aliso Viejo Ranch, and boy was it a success! With over 300 guests in attendance, we have a feeling the Bunkhouse BBQ will become yet another celebrated tradition you won’t want to miss! This inaugural event was held in partnership with the California Rangeland Trust, a non-profit organization that protects what matters by working with California ranching families to preserve our state’s rangeland, air and water quality, wildlife habitat, and local food supplies.
In honor and celebration of our collaborative efforts to protect and preserve California’s open rangeland, Moulton Museum fosters community partnerships by expanding our collections of historical artifacts representing the extensive history of the ranching community in Orange County. We couldn’t be more honored to have teamed up with such an amazing organization as California Rangeland Trust; one that values the same things we do: Celebrating History, Building Community, and Preserving Rangeland.
The First Annual Bunkhouse BBQ is just one of the many opportunities we have created to promote community outreach and collaboration with like-minded organizations. Our continuous efforts to further preserve our rich history for future generations to come would not be nearly as successful if it weren’t for all the amazing families and individuals who show up and share their support. We don’t know about you, but we love what we do! Not only do we get to spend quality time with quality people (that’s you!), but we also get to appreciate beautiful properties, such as the Aliso Viejo Ranch, and the rich history that comes with them.
Working to keep the history of the region and its ranching era alive by archiving, restoring, and preserving historical artifacts, Jared Mathis, President of Moulton Museum and CEO of Moulton Company, gave an update on the 2022 opening of the museum in Laguna Hills, presenting the Aliso Viejo Ranch Foundation a check for $100,000. We are so privileged to live in an area that has so much rich history right in our backyard!
